The Parks of Hickory Creek Texas

 

 

Arrowhead Park is accessed from I-35E at exit 457a on the North East end of the bridge over Lewisville Lake and located at the South end of Kelton Avenue, Hickory Creek, Texas .

 

This park is open year round between 5am and 10pm each day. Leg A Boat ramps are currently closed due to low lake levels

Wild Life in the Parks

 

This natural day use park   is leased from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and offers two Boat Launch Ramps with 6 launch lanes, two Restrooms, a  Pavilion,  8 Picnic Tables, a courtesy dock, a large natural area,

blue bird and Purple martin houses.

 

To reserve the pavilion call Town Hall (940) 434-1666 for an application. Reserve the pavilion for 20$ and a $50 clean up deposit.

 

A new bird habitat was recently installed by two of the local residents John Woodrum and Randy Williams - 2004-2005 Chairman of The Parks and Recreation Board.  Randy Williams and John Woodrum the architect and builder of these bird houses included 1 Purple Martin house, 10 Eastern Blue bird houses, 2 Wood Duck houses as well as houses for bats, wrens and owls.
